A Literature Review on Study of Silica fume as Partial Replacement of Cement in Concrete

In the recent past, there has been considerable attempts for improving the properties of concrete with respect to strength and durability, especially in aggressive environments. High performance concrete appears to be better choice for a strong and durable structure. A large amount of by-product or wastes such as fly-ash, copper slag, silica fume etc. are generated by industries, which causes environmental as well as health problems due to dumping and disposal. Proper introduction of silica fume in concrete improves both the mechanical and durability characteristics of the concrete. This paper present literature review on replacement of Cement by Silica Fume which includes current and future trends of research

Critical time of nitrogen application during panicle initiation on the yield of two Malaysia rice cultivars (Oryza sativa L.)

Nitrogen is the most limiting nutrient in rice production. N fertilizer is susceptible to losses when the time of application does not match with period of crop demand. A glasshouse experiment was conducted to determine the critical time of nitrogen fertilizer application at panicle initiation on grain yield of two Malaysian rice cultivars (MR219 and MR232). The experiment consisted of five N treatments applied each at 60 kg ha-1 at 45 (NI), 50 (N2), 55 (N3), 60 (N4) and 65 (N5) days after seeding (DAS) with five replications. Prior to this stage, a total of 75 kg N ha-1 was applied during vegetative growth stage (at 15 and 35 DAS). Plant physiological parameters such as height, SPAD value and LAI showed statistical difference among some treatments. Application of N also resulted in an increase in plant biomass. The results demonstrate that the split application of fertilizer N at PI stage (55 DAS) significantly increased percentage of filled grains, 1000-grain weight and total grain yield. Incorrect timing of N application (65 DAS) at P1 stage, drastically reduced rice yield to approximately 39% for MR2 19 and 17% for MR232. Farmers should be advised to apply N between 50 DAS and 55 DAS, even though application of N at 55 DAS was far better than 50 DAS in terms of yield parameters

Background: Depression is not uncommon among medical students all over the world. Few studies have been conducted so far in Bangladesh to depict its actual prevalence and severity. So, the aim of this study was to assess the severity of depression and the level of difficulty faced by medical students in different academic years. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in North East medical college of Bangladesh from January 2018 to June 2018 involving 443 students from 1st year to 5th year. Students were instructed to fill up the patient health questionnaire (PHQ-9) which incorporates diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (DSM-IV) depression diagnostic criteria categorized as no, mild, moderate, moderately severe, and severe depression and also evaluates their level of function. Results: The prevalence of depression was quite high (79.68%). 196 (44.24%) and 157 (35.44%) students had mild and major depression respectively, while 90 (20.32%) showed no depression. Students with major depression were scored as moderate depression 24.38%, moderately severe depression 8.35%, and severe depression 2.71%. Moderate depression was significantly higher in year 1 and year 2 students in comparison to year 3, 4 and 5. Students from year 1 to year 5 with mild, moderate, moderately severe and severe depression experienced varying degree of difficulty in their daily activities. Almost all the students in all years with severe depression found themselves very difficult or extremely difficult to cope. Conclusions: High prevalence of depression among medical students is really alarming and underlying factors need to be addressed

MPEG-4 video transmission using distributed TDMA MAC protocol over IEEE 802.15.4 wireless technology

The issues of green technology nowadays give an inspiration to the researcher to make all the future design to be energy efficient. Medium Access Control (MAC) layer is the most effective layer to provide energy efficient due to its ability to control the physical radio directly. One of the important applications in the future is a video transmission that can be transmitted with low-cost and low power consumption. MPEG-4 is one of the international standards for moving video. MPEG-4 provide better compression and primarily design at low bit rate communication. In order to achieve good quality for video application, the design at MAC layer must be strong. Therefore, to increase the performance of the MPEG-4 in IEEE 802.15.4, in this paper we propose a cross layer design between MAC layer and Application layer. A priority queue will be implemented at MAC scheduling depends on the level of frame important in MPEG-4 format frame. A distributed Time division Multiple Access (TDMA) will be used for MAC protocol to provide reliable data transmission for high priority frame

This research is capable to do cryptography with multi keywords search. This research is target to provide search files from cloud network using multi keywords. This paper is target to provide a security at the maximum level by includes encryption and decryption. The administrator has control of authorization and allowing files to move more secured. Encryption and decryption of files and file names which is used symmetric and asymmetric algorithm respectively. The unique key is generated for every users to protect other user cannot access the files. While implementing this project the user can understand very simple environment. The user can reduce incapable systems in server side process to hold most of the processes. The client side system has used less work for the corresponding task to perform the necessary role like arranging and ranking the files from requested order. This project can apply in various applications for this user friendly
